About Us
The String Band Division is the musical highlight of the Mummers Parade. The String Bands are known for their happy music and elaborate costuming. The first String Band participated in the 1901 parade as a novelty. This continued to grow and in 1915 their own division was formed.

Tune to Channel 2 for the following cable/satellite providers:

2026 New Year's In North Wildwood
Mark your calendars for one of the Wildwoods’ most unique traditions: New Year’s in North Wildwood! This year’s festivities take place on Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12, bringing all the fun, music, and Mummers spirit to the shore.
The celebration kicks off Friday evening with a Mummers Strut Contest, where fans of all ages can show off their best moves. On Saturday, the excitement continues with the New Year’s Parade featuring the String Bands as they march down Olde New Jersey Ave.
